The Regional Nature Park
The Regional Nature Park of the Camargue is officially born in 1970. It was one of the first established parks in France.
The Camargue park extends on three towns (Arles, les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône) on more than 100 000 hectares.10 000 persons live there today. With an average of 10 inhabitants per square kilometer, the park constitutes on the less populated territories of Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region.
